Part II: Helping You – Personal Coaching

A good college advisor will keep up to date with the specific state rules that govern aid. A good college adviser will also keep abreast of the ever-changing tax laws and regulations that will affect financial aid. A good adviser will know the “ins and outs” of enrollment management in order to maximize your chances to pay wholesale costs for college by maximizing a family’s aid eligibility. A good college adviser has the experience, attributes, and expertise in college planning.  At Clark College Funding, Inc., we might not have the exact set of attributes and experience that you might want, but you will be hard pressed to find another company, adviser, or team that does!  We will provide you
  • Two hours of one-to-one session on unique tax, marketing, and financial aid strategies
  • Assistance in implementing these strategies

Part III: Do It For You – Financial Aid Forms Service

Part III of the Cum Laude Program is call the The Forms Plan.  As the name suggests, if was designed for to assist families with implementing the required college financial aid forms accurately and in a timely fashion trying.  We pride ourselves on consistency, prompt completion of forms, and strict attention to detail.  The Forms Plan services include the following:

  1. Introductory Phone Call
The purpose of this call is to welcome clients to our service and establish a working relationship between them and their first level service center consultant. During this call, clients are told when to expect their introductory package and advised as to what their first steps should be.
  2. Introductory Package
Clients are sent an introductory package outlining the service and key points of action. This package includes username and password information for the clients’ Engus account.
  3. Financial Aid Timeline
We proactively request a college picks list in September and every two weeks until we get a final list of colleges to which the student is applying. We then establish individual time lines for financial aid formsfiling.
  4. Access to Proprietary Website
Our one-of-a-kind web-based application, Engus.Info is a content-rich client web portal dedicated to the needs of college bound families. An interactive website, Engus is an indispensable element of our service. Features of the site include separate resource sections specifically tailored to students and their families. Parents will find financial planning info, college planning guides, award status, a schedule of dates, forms and form filling guides, among other resources. For students, Engus offers study guides, career guides, test preparation services, and links to pertinent articles.
  5. Data Verification Session
The service also provides a data verification session, during which our team personally works with you to verify the accuracy of the financial data used to complete financial aid applications. By use of our internet-based system, you have the opportunity to agree to the accuracy of all data before any financial aid forms are filed.
  6. Financial Aid Profile (FAP) Registration/Completion
Registration for the Financial Aid CSS Profile (FAP) is included in this service. The FAP is more complicated than the FAFSA. Additionally, the information needs to be consistent with that which appears on the FAFSA. This form is required by certain colleges for financial aid consideration and you must either register to obtain it or acquire the opportunity to complete the form online. This registration is completed by our team (ID # is created when the student takes the SAT). The application, too, is completed electronically for the family. The additional cost of filing incurred by the College Board is the responsibility of the client family.
  7. Financial Aid Forms Completion
Our team completes college institutional financial aid forms of a need-based nature. Some schools have their own need-based forms that are just as important as the Financial Aid Profile (FAP) and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The institutional financial aid forms are completed by hand, and then mailed to the family. It is the responsibility of the family to review, sign and mail the completed form to the college. This step does not include non need-based applications such as college scholarship applications or admissions applications.
  8. Completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
This form must be completed to qualify for Federal aid, most State Programs, and is often required for institutional merit-based aid. This form is completed electronically and is normally filed twice for the client: Once as an estimate and second as a final filing after subsequent tax returns have been completed for the year. We coach, via video clips and text procedures, the process of acquiring the families’ PINS from the Department of Education. Unlike other financial aid service centers, we request the tax returns from the parents and students to assist in the final revision of the FAFSA. We coach the student and parents with video training and text procedures how to update the FAFSA with the final tax return numbers. A Comprehensive Customer Service System achieves a high level of communication with our clients during the entire service engagement. Our consultants are friendly, professional, and knowledgeable, and are available to answer service related questions toll-free at our service center.
  9. Data Privacy and Security
Client data privacy and security is of utmost concern to the College Funding Service Center, LLC. Data is secured using hybrid information security systems, data back-up, and other safeguards unparalleled in the industry!!

Please note that the following services are NOT completed as part of the Cum Laude Plan:
+ We will not contact a college on the behalf of a client. We do not send transcripts, SAT/ACT scores, institutional forms or tax

+ We will not provide the schools with two sets of financial information. We will only file the forms for the custodial parent. Anything

college essays.
