Can I Promote Your PTSA / PTA Membership for You?

Can I Promote Your PTSA / PTA Membership for You?

I’m writing to thank you for all you do to help students and families, and to ask if I could help promote your membership to your high school parents in the fall.  I’m sure you are always looking for more people to help get your message out there and increase membership.  I know I am, so I’m writing to see if it would be okay if I could donate copies of my new book College Aid for Middle Class America: Solutions to Paying Wholesale vs. Retail to your organization?  The book retails at $20.00 at and Barnes & Nobles.

“Absolute must read for parents that are concerned with the cost of college.  Buy it and read it before you sacrifice your hard earned college savings.”
-Rick Darvis, CPA, Founder, National Institute of Certified College Planners

I’m a big proponent of PTSA’s and PTA’s.  I know working for the PTSA / PTA can be a thankless job sometimes, so please know that your work is making a difference in people’s lives.  It sure has in my life and the lives of my family.

Much like you, I care for the well being of students and families.  I especially would like to make college an affordable reality for every family!  I help families select, apply, and finance college by revealing the step by step system that radically reduces the cost of college.  I would love to share this unique approach with your high school parents.

I would like to propose the following plan to help with increasing funds and membership drive for local PTSA’s:

  1. Have the local high school PTA publicize that they will be selling autographed copies of my new book and I will donate 100% of all proceeds to the local PTSA. (A small portion will be used to cover the cost of shipping and handling).
  2. I will provide all marketing materials, flyers, and cover the cost of the mailings if necessary.
  3. FREE one hour PTSA/PTA college workshop in which I will speak to the parents and answer any questions on college planning one evening.

I have included a letter of recommendation from a PTSA presentation I did this past fall.  As you can see, it was very successful and they have invited me back to speak again this fall.  Please let me know ASAP if you are interested, because I have limited availability!

Thanks again for all you do and please let me know how I can help your organization grow and how I can help you!

To Whom It May Concern:
East Forsyth High School is a public school located in the town of Kernersville, NC.  It is one of ten high schools in the Winston-Salem Forsyth County School System. We have approximately 2000 students in grades 9 through 12.  As a service to our parents, the Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA), recently invited Ryan Clark of Clark College Funding Inc. to speak at our winter meeting and to share various strategies that parents can use to select, apply, and be admitted to a college. We felt that Ryan’s expertise in the arena and his book, College Aid for Middle Class America: Solutions to Paying Wholesale vs. Retail would be a great benefit for our parents and a wonderful way to raise money for the PTSA.

We had the largest PTSA meeting of the year to hear Ryan speak, with well over a 100 people attending. Ryan’s presentation was very informative and well-organized, covering topics ranging from college selection advise to financial aid strategies that students and parents could take advantage of right away.

With the sale of his book that night, the PTSA made over $800 dollars! Ryan was gracious enough to also offer each of our parents a free 20 minutes consultation to anyone who purchased the book. While Ryan gave the participants the opportunity to request a follow-up consultation, he did not come across as being there solely to “see his services.”
I would certainly recommend Ryan to anyone who would like information on how to best plan for private education, college, and paying for college. Feedback from our parents regarding his presentation has been tremendous. The response to your program was so positive; I am going to encourage next year’s board to bring you back again!
